USA Shipments Suspended

The United States announced significant changes to its import tariff rules that took effect from 29 August 2025 and impacts those sending commercial items from Australia to the USA, namely that the existing “low value goods” (de minimis) threshold (US$800) for items entering the USA has been removed.  

The USA requires that tariffs and taxes are to be prepaid before items arrive on US soil.  Lefty's will not be paying these tariffs for our US customers, so we will need to develop a process whereby the correct tariffs are calculated and applied to these customer orders at the time of purchase for payment by the customer, and develop a way that this can be forwarded to the US Authorities in time for the order's arrival in the USA.  US Customs and Border Protection advises that Items/Orders received without the prepaid tariffs will be returned to sender.

We are yet to find a workable solution with our current systems and processes for the above to occur.

Due to the complexity of the process and the extreme uncertainty at this time, Lefty's is suspending all sales to the USA and its Territories until further notice.
